Can't expect any better qualifications than that McIvor. Unless your name starts with Left
Absolutely frightening, and only serves to show what an unregulated hell-hole the stock market can be. Anybody can say what they want to without implication, and willingly mislead for your own agenda. Or just be like these guys and pretend to know what you are talking about on readily available podcasts, internet etc... what's that saying about emtpty vessels...
Chilled - I posted this a week or two back, TW and these two bozos are in the same class of "expert":
"I listen to a few podcasts and last week Doc H (aka Lilly Savage on Helium) interviewed some O&G analyst and covered various stocks one of them 88E. They both agreed they couldn't understand why the BoD are still there after the Tangiers debacle. DW came in right before the spud he had no choice but to follow it through, but he immediately changed tactic on exploration targets thereafter. That Doc H and this so called O&G expert didn't even know these basic facts shows me there are a lot of unresearched out there even and maybe especially those who describe themselves as professional. This perhaps may even explain the current SP if punters are taking investment advice from these sort of people."
CD66 - I agree, TW bashes so many stocks, he's bound to call a couple right. I, personally wouldn't listen to anything he says based on this. (Although I wish I had re: CTAG). Top and bottom is, he has probably never BEEN to Alaska, let alone seen the icewine project. I doubt he's even that familiar with icewine or done much research into it's potential. We can all kick a stock on its way down and claim we called it. You'll notice most shut the hell back up when that stock starts to rise again. So I'll keep my trust in the academics on site, who specialise in getting oil out of the ground, and NOT some guy who claims to be an 'analyst' (guesses whether there is oil there depending on whether the sp is rising or falling)
He throws so many darts he's bound to hit the bulls eye sometimes.
Whatever else can be said about TW, his record on calling out frauds is impressive and that's why I shell out for the content.
We have Brent Villemarette ( Brent holds a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Petroleum Engineering, from the Louisiana State Universit), and Dr Staley working for 88e (He is a Fellow of the Geological Society, holds a BSc (Hons.) in Geophysics from Edinburgh University, a PhD in Petroleum Geology from Sheffield University and an MBA from Warwick University.) Maybe they should call Winifrirh for some advice.
Twerphead whiningforth
Boasted he was a trained oil analyst, as he attended a few days course work.
Then he advised that he had calculated the probability, yet was not prepared to share his 'back of a fag packet' calculus as it would have proven he was deluded.
That someone has paid to listen to this fool is a very kind thing to do as it may be funding TW care in the community costs
TW's opinion is worth less than F all!
PatchMccoid, so when it's released on open of the AIM does that make it also bad news?
This site is useless couldnt access yesterday, now saying 45% up. What happening????
Worth F all I’d say. GLA
For what it's worth, here's what Winnifrith had to say in yesterday's Bearcast (behind a paywall now) -
"88E, another update on IW2, lots of talk about methane gas and water, not about commercial hydrocarbons. I used to be an oil analyst, but I read these company statements and it's like being asked to read Greek or Swahili or Maltese, it's just bloody entirely unintelligible. The company doesn't make it clear but all this talk about methane and water is not impressive and that's why the shares are down again at 1.55p, and I wouldn't on a risk/reward basis be rushing to buy them."
Also issued after hours on a Friday (ASX). Not usually a good sign.
Was issued by a political party it may be interpreted a different way .. IE we are struggling with the pressure we are struggling with flowing the fracc fluid and we have no meaningful oil yet... Hence people are selling ... Now I know the SEE NO EVIL SPEAK NO EVIL HEAR NO EVIL poster are going to cry dreamer/basher but I’m just giving a different perspective in how it may read to some ...just to clarify I have 350k shares and currently sitting n 2k loss so I’m sitting tight .. However my tin hat is ready for the incoming Fracc!!! Or should that be flak
