BRIEF-M&B names Laffin chairman in reshuffle

LONDON, Dec 1 (Reuters) - Mitchells & Butlers Plc:

* Richard mcguire should step down from his position as a director of Mitchells

& Butlers

* Subsequently denis Jackson, Ray Macsharry and douglas mcmahon will also cease

to be directors

* Simon Laffin, senior independent director, to be appointed as the company chairman
