Speedy Hire names Justin Read as financial director from April 1

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Speedy Hire PLC said it has named Justin Read
as its financial director with effect from April 1, replacing Neil O'Brien, who will step down and leave the company after a handover period.

Speedy Hire, which provides tools and equipment for hire, said Read was, until recently, Hanson PLC's managing director for Hanson Continental Europe and head of corporate development.

Speedy Hire will announce its results for the year to March 31 on May 28.
