FACTBOX-Google launches new online art gallery site

Feb 1 (Reuters) - Google on Tuesday unveiled its Art Project, which aims t
o bring online visits to galleries around the world closer to the real thing and, in some cases, better.

The website address is (www.googleartproject.com).

Following is a list of the 17 galleries taking part in the launch, with more expected to be added as time goes on.

Also detailed are the works of art they chose to be captured in ultra-high resolution images, allowing for detailed study online using the zoom application.
