No fast-track EU entry for Iceland - EU president

BRUSSELS, July 27 (Reuters) - Iceland, which has applied to join the 27-nation European Union, will be not be given a fast-track entry into the bloc, EU president Sweden said on Monday.

'There is no fast-track for Iceland but rather a shorter track because they are already a part of the single market and the Schengen area,' Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt told reporters ahead of the EU foreign ministers' meeting in Brussels.
