BMO FINANCIAL GROUP
BMO Capital Markets said it hired two people to expand its fixed income business. The bank said Scott Graham will join its Chicago office as head of U.S. government bond trading from the Royal Bank of Scotland. Bill Kirby, who will have offices in both Chicago and New York according to the bank, joins as head of the U.S. fixed income sales group. Kirby joins from Bengal Partners.
MCCARTER & ENGLISH
The law firm said it hired patent attorney Jonathan Sparks as a partner in its intellectual property practice in Boston.
BNP PARIBAS SA
The France-based bank group has hired former Bank of America Corp executive Chris Innes to head equity sales for the Americas in New York, a person familiar with the matter said.
His position was previously held by Aaron Ford, who resigned last week. Innes starts next week.
CULLEN/FROST BANKERS INC
The financial holding company named former Exxon Mobil Corp general counsel Charles Matthews as a Houston director. Matthews retired from Exxon earlier this year.
WR BERKLEY CORP
The corporation has appointed Douglas Powers president and chief executive officer of Carolina Casualty Insurance Co with immediate effect. Powers succeeds William Haines.
LION GLOBAL INVESTORS
The asset management company, with S$28 billion ($20.56 billion) under management, announced on Friday that CEO Daniel Chan Choong Seng has quit to spend time with his family.
