Ukraine Opportunity Trust Sees Mixed Results On Investments

LONDON (Alliance News) - Ukraine Opportunity Trust PLC Thursday said its investment in Korsando is now valued at USD3.7 million, a 28% drop in value since its last valuation, resulting in the trust's net asset value per share falling by approximately USD0.39.

The company's investment in Korsando is appraised every two years.

Meanwhile, the trust has satisfied the regulators over its the potential sale of Platinum Bank, which could be completed in the next few days, subject to final settlement. The company expects to receive USD7.2 million from the sale, compared to the last valuation of USD3.3 million. This will increase the NAV by approximately USD1.08 per share.

Ukraine Opportunity Trust shares were Thursday quoted at USD2.90, down 4.9%.
