Vienna (Alliance News) - Pro-Russian separatists have prevented monitors from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) from fully inspecting the site where a Malaysia Airlines jet crashed, a Swiss diplomat says.
"They did not have the freedom of movement they need," Swiss Ambassador Thomas Greminger says, representing his country's current OSCE chairmanship, adding that the observers would try again to gain access on Saturday.
Shots were fired in the vicinity but not at the group of 17 monitors, a source close to the OSCE says.
