LONDON (Alliance News) - Internet domain names company CentralNic Group PLC Monday said its has appointed Glenn Hayward as its Chief Financial Officer.

In a statement, the company said Hayward has experience in the industry, joining from Nominet, the company responsible for the .uk internet domain.

"His expertise gained with one of the world's leading domain name registries will be particularly advantageous to the Company, and his appointment is very timely as CentralNic enters into a year of rapid growth, as we expand our business globally, and as we launch new Top-Level Domains like .website, .college, .wiki, .bar, .fans and .xyz," CentralNic Chief Executive Ben Crawford said in a statement.

Donald Baladasan, who has been serving as interim CFO, has stepped down from the board and will continue to work during a handover period on a consultancy basis, assisting Hayward in his new role, the company said.

CentralNic shares were up 4.6% at 83.15 pence early Monday.
