DIRECTOR DEALINGS: Reed Elsevier CEO Exercises Share Options

LONDON (Alliance News) - Reed Elsevier PLC Friday said Chief Executive Officer Erik Engstrom exercised share options in the company Thursday, and subsequently sold most of the resulting shares.

He got got 154,517 shares in Reed Elsevier PLC for 533.50 pence each and sold 150,517 of them at 877.3643 pence. He got 105,412 shares in Reed Elsevier NV for EUR11.31 and sold 103,412 of them for EUR15.2771.

He now holds 114,553 Reed Elsevier PLC shares and 513,766 shares of Reed Elsevier NV.

Human Resources Director Ian Fraser Thursday exercised share options and all the shares acquired upon the exercise were subsequently sold as outlined below.
